2nd Ad & 1st AD 2Nd unit

Fly By Night

Fly By Night was a feature film Produced by Kent State University Independent Films. As 2nd AD my primary task on set was figuring out the logistics of each filming day. I arranged and prepared call sheets, planned the order of each shooting day, verified actor and crew availability and organized transportation. As 1ST AD for 2nd Unit, my primary goal on set was to ensure everyone was operating in a safe and healthy manner. This meant leading safety meetings before all sets, ensuring water and snacks were always available, posting emergency contact information around the set and bringing a first aid kit to all locations. I was also in close liaison with all departments between shots, ensuring all departments understood the plan for each shot, had everything they needed and were ready when the director and actors were ready. Furthermore, I communicated with the 1st Unit to ensure we were gathering all the extra footage needed to help cut the film together.

Writer, Director & Editor

to the moon and back

To the Moon and Back was my senior capstone project. I had three weeks to write, direct and edit this project. For this project, I wrote the script and made adjustments as necessary. I then chose cast and worked with department heads to decide the overall vision for the short. On set, I ensured all departments were working to create the visual story I imagined. I also helped actors understand the emotion, delivery and blocking of each scene. After filming completed I edited together the short. I not only completed the timeline, but I also completed post-production audio and color graded all footage.
